Have You Heard The News? 4Imprint’s Sold SPS.

4Imprint sells SPS

On February 10th 2014 ...

… Direct marketing and printing group 4Imprint announced it had completed the sale of SPS to a private equity-backed management team for 7.25m pounds.

The purchaser is Ensco 1024 Limited, a newly incorporated company controlled by the SPS Senior Management.

As you know SPS is a supplier of promotional products to distributors in the UK and Europe.

So selling SPS is consistent with 4imprint’s strategy of focusing its resources on continued growth of their Direct Marketing business.

It only seems 5 minutes ago, (although in actual fact it was September 2006) that 4Imprint bought SPS or as they were then known, back in the day as “Supreme Holdings”

But this most recent sale can only be a good thing for the distributor, right?

Occasionally there can be a tiny element of uncertainty for a wholesale customer when a supplier also has a direct sales side to their business too.

Of course the fact that SPS are continuing to manufacture good quality promotional products in the UK is great news for the British Economy.

So what do you think?

If you get a chance please let us know what you think about the sale or if you're more comfortable dealing with a trade only supplier?
